* Yu-Gi-Oh! is a Japanese manga created by Kazuki Takahashi. It has spawned a franchise that includes multiple anime shows, a trading card game and numerous video games. Most of the incarnations of the franchise involve the fictional trading card game called Duel Monsters (originally known as Magic & Wizards), where each player uses cards to "duel" each other in a mock battle of fantasy "monsters". * As for Ken Yokoyama, he started his career as a guitar player back in the late 80's. In 1991, he formed a band called Hi-Standard, and toured all over Japan, North America and Europe until 2000, when they disbanded (get it? band … disbanded … a band that disbanded … never mind). They left the world with three full length albums on Fat Wreck Chords. After a few years of concentrating on running his own label, Pizza Of Death Records, Ken came back to the stage supporting his 1st solo album on which he sings and plays guitar. In 2004, Ken formed his own band, known as the Ken Band, which keeps busy by putting out albums, playing shows and touring like crazy.

Birdy the Mighty is a manga by Masami Yuki, who is best known for producing the long-running series Patlabor. His initial work on the series was quickly abandoned, but it was made into an anime, which was produced and, on the last episode, scripted by Yoshiaki Kawajiri, who is known for anime titles such as Vampire Hunter D, and Ninja Scroll. The character designer and animation director for the series was Kumiko Takahashi. In 2003, Masami Yuki began serializing a second, more ambitious Birdy the Mighty manga in Weekly Young Sunday.
